Food safety, traceability event coming to North Carolina

Retailers, wholesalers, distributors, growers, shippers or service providers in the Charlotte, North Carolina region should mark their calendars now for PMA’s Fresh Connections: North Carolina. This interactive one-day event will take place April 5 at the Dole Food Company’s David H. Murdock Core Lab in Kannapolis, North Carolina. Participants will have an opportunity to:

  • Review the 10 Commandments of Food Safety targeted to sales and marketing professionals
  • Understand Produce Traceability Initiative (PTI) Milestones, and what steps they need to take to maintain compliancy
  • Learn details on PTI Milestones, and how they affect every company that receives inbound product, as well as implementation timelines for 2011
  • Identify common food safety missteps, and how they can increase their company’s food safety efforts and better protect its bottom line
