Fresh inspections webinar coming next week from AMS
On Thursday, August 16 at 2 p.m. ET, the USDA Agricultural Marketing Service is offering a free Webinar about its fresh produce inspection service. During the Webinar, Harry Fisher of the Fresh Products Branch of AMS Fruit and Vegetable Programs will discuss topics such as how to request an inspection, interpret an inspection certificate, and how to appeal inspection results. He’ll also illustrate the value of an inspection, discuss the input industry has on Branch programs, and outline some of the ways the inspection service is keeping up with changing industry needs.
Produce growers, processors, packers and distributors of all sized operations and others along the produce supply chain, as well as representatives from academia and government, are encouraged to register for this Webinar. To register, go here. If you have questions, contact Christopher Purdy at USDA AMS, +1 (202) 720-3209.
