Fresh Connections in Atlanta to focus on food safety trends
On September 13, PMA Chief Science & Technology Officer Dr. Bob Whitaker will present a high-level forecast of emerging food safety trends that will impact the produce industry at Fresh Connections: Atlanta. For those who’ve attended our food safety-focused Fresh Connections in the past, this event is different from the ones that preceded it.
In a message to the Food Safety Community on PMA Xchange, Dr. Bob stated “the content of my presentation goes beyond a food safety update - it takes a hard look at topics and trends and gives the ‘future of food safety’ forecast for more than food safety professionals. The discussion applies to your company’s marketing and sales forces, finance and legal teams and, of course, government relations/public affairs and communications experts.”
Dr. Bob will be joined by supply chain leaders and government officials including Scott Sargent, Chick-fil-A; John Oxford, L&M Companies; and Arthur Liang, U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention who will share how they believe these trends will impact their specific business segments and share steps government officials are taking to meet these challenges.
There are also special registration rates for PMA Gold Circle members and members of the Food Safety Community on Xchange. To learn more, visit the PMA website or visit the Food Safety Community on PMA Xchange.
